YY/T 0856 aims to provide a comprehensive reference for metal angle fixators (hereinafter referred to as angle fixators) used in orthopedic internal fixation surgery. YY/T 0856 established a method for classifying and defining the geometric and functional characteristics of angle fixators. This standard also provides standard provisions for the materials、 manufacturing、 sterilization、 packaging、 marking、 labeling、 and user manual of angle fixators. It also provides standard test methods for the important mechanical properties related to the use of angle fixators in vivo. YY/T 0856 is not intended to specify the performance level of angle fixators for a specific clinical manifestation. Due to insufficient knowledge、 it is not yet possible to predict the results of their use in special activities in individual patients' daily lives. In addition、 this standard does not specify a special design for angle fixators used for internal fixation surgery in the skeletal system. YY/T 0856 may not be applicable to all types of angle stabilizers. It is recommended to carefully consider the applicability of this standard from the perspective of specific fixators and their potential applications. Note 1:; This standard does not apply to hip intramedullary screws and other angle fixators without side plates. YY/T 0856 includes the following test methods for testing the mechanical properties of angle fixators: single compression bending test method for metal angle fixators (see Appendix A); Test method for bending fatigue performance of metal angle fixators (see Appendix B). Unless otherwise stated、 this standard adopts the International System of Units (SI). Note 2: Currently、 there are no equivalent or equivalent international standards
